In the Beginning

So, it has been a little over two months since Eric and I got married and what a crazy couple of months. First for all of you that know us, we have spent more time apart than together. This is because as responsible adults we have had to work at our individual jobs (mine was ten times better). Eric is training for his job as a field engineer with Precision Energy (or as they are referred to in our home Weatherford), while I got to play at This is the Place Heritage Park. It was great! I got to dress up in 19th century clothing and talk about 19th century medicine all day. I know I am a history geek, but I am proud of it! The other big thing was trying to find a place to live here in Farmington, New Mexico. If you thought housing was scarce in Logan, well it was like finding a needle in a hay stack down here. This was Eric's job, while I got the ever fun job of packing up our apartment in Logan and loading the wedding gifts and other things in the U-Haul and making the migration to New Mexico with both my father and father in-law. This was made even more interesting by a mudslide which took us through pretty much all of central Utah. But now we are here and I am starting to get my house in order. Oh, I forgot to tell you, in the end we got a three bedroom house in a nice quiet neighborhood. The ward is nice and big and I am having a blast having more rooms to decorate. I just am not enjoying the unpacking part. What ever do you with all the old boxes, when all your friends are out of state and not moving? Well I have rambled for long enough. I hope to get photos of the wedding, honeymoon and new house up soon. To all of you Disney Princess lovers you are in for a treat!
